On November 19th, Jay Moran, our VP of Capabilities Operations & Support, chaired the ninth annual National School of Computer Science (ENSI) engineering forum on the campus of Manouba, Tunis.

The forum, organized by ENSI Junior Enterprise, an organization entirely managed by students, provides an opportunity for young engineering students to connect with local companies involved in ICT. This year’s event focused on the topic of Cloud Computing and we were excited to participate.

In the Tunisian system, engineering students are required to complete a 4 to 6 month internship during their graduation year, developing a project within their field of study. This allows students to apply the theoretical knowledge they have accumulated during their academic career and offers a great introduction to professional life.

The Vistaprint Tunis office will be providing three deserving students with engineering internships this year. We are very committed to investing and developing top talent around the world here at Cimpress, and internships are often highly successful for both our company and the university students working with us.

Our journey at ENSI started at a fast pace. We had a great crowd of students visiting our stand all morning, eager to learn more about our company and our positions offered and to hear technical details about the challenging and high tech projects our current engineers are invested in.

Radwen Tekaya, Sr. Director, CARE Operations and Vistaprint Tunis General Manager, gave a presentation about the company, its strategic goals, and values. Youcef Boufatah also presented on his internship experience with Vistaprint prior to joining as a full time QE Automation Engineer.

During the afternoon, a round table discussion on cloud computing was held in the school auditorium, presented by Dr. Farouk Kammoun, a successful Tunisian computer scientist and professor.

Vistaprint’s recruitment team also held a workshop teaching best practices for creating a CV/resume and standing out in interviews. They put these concepts to practice through interview simulations performed with the students followed by feedback sessions.

Overall, the event was a success with a great turn out of students, technology companies and professionals within the industry. Vistaprint proudly welcomes our three new engineering interns and hopes to be a positive influence for their bright future in the technology community.
