At Cimpress we value giving back to local communities and those in need. Our Digital team members in Silver Springs, MD are no exception. Last year, eleven volunteers pitched in at a local non-profit, A Wider Circle, to help support its day-to-day operations.  A Wider Circle focuses on the provisioning of basic need items, education, and long-term support for those in the community. These three components create lasting change in the lives of those they serve. In addition to individuals and families that look to A Wider Circle for support, more than 300 government, social service, and nonprofit agencies regularly contact them for help in serving their own clients.

Our volunteers (including George Goodman, Alvin Singletary, Kate Fuller, Halsey Hayes, Harrison Baum, Noah Chase, Meg Dzeng, Eric Rizzo, Chris Ozag, Ayobami Olarewaju-Alo, and Ayesha Gray) got right to work at the Wider Circle’s facility, primarily helping to prepare donated items.  Team members spread out across different activities which included sorting and stocking linens and housewares, moving furniture and other bulk items, helping clients select baby clothes, and loading clients’ cars and trucks.  While it was hard, physical work, the team found it gratifying to work directly with beneficiaries of the organization.

Here are just a few of the moments that were captured from a great morning of volunteering:
